The Commonwealth Leadership Training Collective is a regional network that equips men to start and to lead Gospel-centered, missional, church-planting churches.
Why We Exist
The church is God’s chosen means of proclaiming and manifesting the good news of Jesus to the ends of the Earth. Church planters therefore need robust theological training and directed personal mentoring to help them lead and serve like Christ. With this goal in view, The Commonwealth offers a flexible and effective way for like-minded churches to partner together in deeply transforming the hearts and minds of men called to plant churches.
How It’s Different
Flexible. The Commonwealth is specifically designed to give pastors the freedom to make informed decisions about the kinds of training best suited for their interning planters.
Personal. A two-year mentorship facilitates the development of meaningful relationships with other like-minded pastors and prospective church planters in the region.
Supportive. The Commonwealth is neither a replacement for local church discipleship nor for larger network partnerships. Rather, it aims to complement the ministries of affiliated churches by supporting them as they equip leaders to plant churches that proclaim Jesus.
"The vigorous, continual planting of new congregations is the single most crucial strategy for (1) the numerical growth of the Body of Christ in any city, and (2) the continual corporate renewal and revival of the existing churches in a city. Nothing else–not crusades, outreach programs, para-church ministries, growing mega-churches, congregational consulting, nor church renewal processes–will have the consistent impact of dynamic, extensive church planting. This is an eyebrow raising statement. But to those who have done any study at all, it is not even controversial."
