“Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” (Romans 12:4-5)
Christians are members of God’s household (Eph. 2:19) who are called to live and serve in a particular setting within the body of Christ. And just as a healthy body requires that its members function properly, a healthy church requires the same: active members who are sacrificially committed and well-equipped to do the works of service that God has prepared in advance for us to do (Eph. 2:10).
Remnant Church, therefore, holds its members in high regard. We expect them to lead as missionaries of the gospel in our context, believing that God purposely placed us in this city, among these people, in this time period, so that we could know God and make him known (Acts 17:26-27). Being a member of Remnant Church also means being part of a family. The unity we have in Christ is expressed in the way we collaborate in loving God and loving the people God brings into our lives.
